Sara Gabriele
Growing up in her family’s restaurants, Sara got the restaurant bug early. Some of her earliest memories are creating restaurants in her backyard for family and friends, while rocking diapers. She first began helping in her family’s restaurants at 12 and branched out when she went to college. While at University of Colorado at Boulder (Go Buffs!), where she studied business and communication, she worked in local restaurants. After college, she moved back and began bartending, event planning and catering at such spots as her family’s restaurant, Zazou & the Hotel Bel Air.
In 2013, Sara began managing Zazou full time as well as working towards becoming a sommelier. In 2014, she married her partner in life, crime and, now business, Adam Aro, a seasoned veteran in the industry. In 2015, she accomplished her goal of becoming a Level 2 Certified Sommelier and she later became a French Wine Scholar & a Spanish Wine Scholar, both with honors. Sara is from a long line of strong women & is really excited and honored to be a part of re:HER!
